THE WEEKEND COLLECTOR: Comic Character Pinbacks

Mark Lansdown is a collector of vintage comic books, and comic character pinbacks. He started primarily as a comic collector, and began collecting pinbacks as an interesting side line about ten years ago. As is often the case with collectors, he became obsessed with the hunt, and has now amassed an enormous collection, and a thoroughly entertaining website, where you can find pinbacks from the 20s, 30s, 40s, featuring such comic characters as Mickey Mouse,  Yellow Kid, Little Orphan Annie, Dick Tracy, Popeye, and dozens more. It's easy to get lost in his site, with so many fun designs, variations, and colors. A dedicated pinback collector can spend years searching for just a certain, rare pinback- only to find it, and the information around it in Mark's site.
