I have been a collector since I was a child.... mostly aimless & pointless collections. Nothing very valuable, not too trendy, and rarely in mint condition. Just a plethora of "stuff" that I've had fun adding to through the years. If I have at least 3, I consider it a collection. I'll be posting a different collection daily, Monday through Friday, and spotlighting some other marvelous collections I've discovered on the weekends. I hope you stop by often!

THE WEEKEND COLLECTOR: Lisa Congden
My plan is to post my own collections Monday through Friday, and share a fellow collector's things on the weekends. I will only do one weekend post, to give me a little break.
Since this blog was inspired by Lisa Congdon, I thought it would be fitting to spotlight her fun collections first! I really enjoyed her collections because they were so quirky and random... she can go from a collection of tiny celluloid reindeer to blue golf tees to photos of Victorian boxers. Looking at her collections often reminded me of things I'd forgotten I had, or made me look at my collections in different ways. She kept her blog going for a year. I have no idea how long I can keep posting a collection every week day, but I hope at least that long. I hope you take a little time to peruse Lisa's pages.
I will be looking for inspiring collectors in the next weeks- if you are aware of other collectors blogs or websites, please send me an email, or leave me a comment.

Wow - I'm a collector of sorts, but I don't think I could come up with something for every day.
I loved Cray-pas!
What a fun blog Stef! I have some of this stuff and didn't think of any as being collectible. I still have the cra-pas and willow charcoal - the watercolors in a tin just went home with the great-grand children a couple of weeks ago after they'd had a grand time painting. I couldn't remember where it came from until my dd (their grandmom) said "I remember that from when I was little, and I hated to mess it up, so never used it!"
I may have to give this posting old stuff on my blog a go since I'm not into scrapbooking these days.
